STEM Recruitment Solutions is delighted to be recruiting a Permanent Machine Technician on behalf of a leading food manufacturing company based in Edinburgh.

This hands-on role is ideal for a proactive individual with a solid background in machine operation and maintenance within the food production sector. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of production machinery, supporting both operational performance and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate production machinery to meet daily production targets

Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime

Monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues

Follow strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times

Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance work

Report any safety hazards or mechanical concerns to supervisors promptly

What We’re Looking For:

Good understanding of machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance

Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently

Strong teamwork and communication skills

A proactive attitude with a commitment to health & safety compliance

Flexibility and reliability to support production needs in a fast-paced setting
