Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We’re on the lookout for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a range of welcoming primary and SEN schools across Christchurch and the surrounding areas.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Christchurch, Bournemouth, Bransgore, and nearby areas
Availability: Full-time & part-time roles available – flexible to suit your lifestyle!
Setting: Mainstream primary schools.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
Providing 1:1 and small group support to ensure pupils can access the curriculum
Encouraging emotional regulation, communication, and independence
Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans
Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or alternative settings)
Is calm, patient, and empathetic with a proactive attitude
Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
Has a genuine passion for supporting learners of all abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
