Our clients, a friendly, ambitious and innovative business that has been around for over 45 years are looking for a proactive and ambitious Design Engineer with strong CAD skills to help them deliver smart, sustainable commercial spaces across the UK.

From cutting-edge warehouses to high-spec office refurbishments and solar systems— no two projects are the same.

Purpose Of Role

The successful candidate will be required to use AutoCad software to create designs and produce general arrangement drawings to bring customer visions to life.

Each project will bring some brilliant challenges and can range from designing the simplest of load-bearing pallet racking to complex structures inside warehouses, high-quality office refurbishments and solar panel systems.

The right candidate will be an excellent people person, embrace change, be adept at creating and implementing innovative customer solutions and proactive in supporting clients and colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing - - - - -

Working alongside sales and project teams to translate customer requirements into practical solutions.

Creating compelling designs and schemes for warehouse and commercial projects utilising AutoCad and in accordance with project brief & budgets.

Attending occasional site surveys to better understand the design challenges and constraints.

Providing general technical support and design input to the sales and projects teams.

Evaluating supplier quotations to help inform customer proposals.

What They Are Looking For -

Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D a bonus) - - -

Located within commuting distance of Leyland (North West England)

Ideally with experience in either racking and shelving, mezzanines or internal fit outs (partitioning, ceilings etc).

Candidates with other relevant experience within construction and/or engineering would also be welcomed.

Great communicator who thrives in collaborative environments.
