Production Supervisor (Fixed-Term Contract)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in assisting the Manufacturing Manager with all production activities. Your focus will be on:
Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication with the Manufacturing Manager to meet production schedules and mitigate backlog risks.
Monitoring Production: Oversee production output across the factory, promptly reporting any issues.
Resource Management: Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure the right people with the right skills are available at the right time.
Team Leadership: Direct staff on shift priorities and drive engagement in Continuous Improvement Activities.
Operational Briefings: Ensure teams are well-informed about performance metrics and improvement plans.
Quality Control: Strive for "first time right" quality, investigating non-conformities and working closely with the Quality team.
Safety Standards: Uphold Health & Safety protocols, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar role, with a strong track record of managing teams.
Leadership Skills: A natural leader with excellent interpersonal skills who can influence and inspire others.
Lean Methodology Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques, including 5S, to drive efficiencies.
Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:
IOSH Managing Safely
NVQ Level 2 or above in Performing Manufacturing Operations
Leadership and Management Qualification
