Job Title: Engineering Supervisor
Location: Outskirts of Thetford, Norfolk
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £55,000 – £58,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Overview
As the Engineering Supervisor, you will oversee the daily activities of the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring all machinery, plant, and equipment are operating safely and efficiently. You will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of engineers/technicians on shift.
Plan and allocate daily maintenance and engineering tasks.
Deliver effective PPM schedules while managing reactive maintenance with minimal disruption to production.
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery upgrades.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records using the company’s CMMS system.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Liaise with production and senior management to support operational goals.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and development within the team.
Requirements
Time-served engineer with qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of PPM, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of health & safety legislation and engineering best practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
