Sure Staffing UK Ltd is currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a well-established, fast-paced horticultural facility in the Brough area.

This role involves heavy lifting and manual tasks, and would suit candidates with experience or a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture, or outdoor physical work. The environment is busy and dynamic, supplying high-quality produce to major retailers across the UK.

Key Details:

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

*

Overtime Pay: £15.75 per hour (after 39 hours)

*

Location: Brough, HU15

*

Job Type: Ongoing Temporary

*

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (weekend work available)

Main Duties:

*

Operating greenhouse machinery (e.g., seeding machines)

*

Heavy lifting and repetitive bending due to the physical nature of the role

*

Sowing seeds and potting plants

*

General plant care: watering, feeding, weeding, pruning, removing dead growth, and tidying

*

Picking, sorting, labelling, and packaging produce as required

Candidate Requirements:

*

Ability to carry out physically demanding manual tasks

*

Previous experience in greenhouses or horticulture preferred but not essential

*

Basic knowledge of plant care techniques

*

Able to work well both independently and within a team

*

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

*

Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

*

Valid UK driving licence and access to a car (essential due to remote location)

*

Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays if required
