Structural Engineer – Manchester – Permanent Role

We are working with a leading structural engineering company based in Manchester who are looking to hire a Structural engineer to join their collaborative team based in an excellently appointed office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Working with the existing team to review designs

* Carrying out Structural Analysis calculating loads, stresses, and pressures on structures

* Utilising various software packages such as Tekla and Robot

* Working with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and designs are implemented effectively

* Preparing reports, drawings, and other documentation related to the project

* Checking structures adhere to building codes, regulations, and safety standards

* Identifying potential hazards and designing systems to mitigate them

Experience required:

* Four to eight years structural engineering/design experience although they are open to candidates outside of this range

* Degree in structural or civil engineering

* Ideally be chartered or in the process of gaining chartership

* Ideally have structural experience on a range of materials including concrete, steel, masonry, timber

* Experience in hand calculations

* Experience with various relevant software packages such as Tekla, Revit
