A large Civil Engineering Contractor with a £134million turnover are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to overseeing projects London and the south east with an initial project in Chessington. They offer a variety of excellent work and lifestyle benefits and a competitive salary of up to £75,000 DOE.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working for a company that have been established for over 30 years and will require a strong senior candidate with experience of NEC and will be responsible for estimating and controlling costs, making sure that structures meet legal and quality standards

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required
Preparation of valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentation
Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
Preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules.
Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts
Agreement of final accounts.
Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
Utilise the costing system.
Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

Relevant Industry Qualification
Experience in Tunnelling or Shafts
Commercially astute with knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement.
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and the ability to manage complex cost structures
Experience using CEMAR
Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications
Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate
Minimum of a 2 years as a SQS.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (negotiable for highly qualified candidates).
