Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Middlesbrough

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £140 to £165 per day

Empowering Learning are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teacher to work in a mainstream primary in Middlesbrough in their SEN Base setting. This is an incredibly rewarding role supporting children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Advising staff on individual pupil needs and developing tailored learning plans.
Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Create a positive and nurturing environment that promotes pupils' emotional wellbeing and self-confidence.
Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage pupils and enhance their learning experience.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to families, colleagues, and pupils.
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the wider school community.
Provide accurate administration support related to pupil progress and data.The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of special education.
Demonstrate proven experience working with pupils with various SEND requirements such as SEMH and ASD.
Hold a degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
Be passionate about promoting pupil wellbeing and helping every child reach their potential.
Have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum objectives and expectations.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils.
Be patient, empathetic, resilient, and proactive in overcoming challenges.
