About the Role
I am working on behalf of a reputable Lift company in kent who are seeking an experienced and reliable Lift Engineer to join our growing team, covering a route from Wembley to Reading. You’ll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and call-out response on a variety of lifts and lifting equipment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine service, maintenance, and repair of all types of passenger and goods lifts.

Diagnose and resolve faults effectively and efficiently.
*
Respond to emergency breakdowns and call-outs within agreed timeframes.
*
Conduct testing and commissioning in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
*
Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including job sheets, risk assessments, and service reports.
*
Communicate clearly with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
*
Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the office team.
Key Requirements
*
NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
*
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in lift servicing and repairs.
*
Sound knowledge of relevant lift industry standards and regulations (e.g. LOLER, PUWER, EN81, BS7255).
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
*
Good time management and self-discipline.
*
Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota (evenings and weekends).
*
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
*
Experience with multiple lift manufacturers and control systems.
*
LOLER inspection experience or certification.
*
Experience in modernisation or installation is a plus.
