My client, a well established family-run Joinery and Fit-out Sub-Contractor are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to organic growth within the business. This role involves working with likes of Tier 1 Main Contractors on major projects and packages up to £10m.

Please note this is open to either be a permanent or freelance role with the opportunity to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects.

* Oversee supplier procurement, payments, and valuations.

* Conduct client valuations, negotiate variations, and ensure best value is achieved.

* Monitor costs versus budgets and provide regular financial reports.

* Support tender submissions and other commercial activities.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience as a QS managing carpentry packages.

* Strong commercial and cost management skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Must be able to travel to sites across Kent/Essex/London.

Additional Information:

* Location: Office based in Essex, with regular site visits.

* Driving Licence: Essential

* Overtime/Weekends: Not required.
