This is your opportunity to become part of Automotive History — join a name synonymous with refined performance, handcrafted excellence, and British luxury. At a world-class facility, you’ll collaborate with dedicated artisans and engineers who share an unwavering passion for automotive perfection. Whether shaping the future or honouring a legacy, your role as a Classic Build Technician will help craft vehicles that are as timeless as they are iconic.
About the Role:
As a Classic Build Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on mechanical assembly and coachbuilding of classic models and heritage cars. This isn’t your average technician role – you’ll be working on builds that follow specialised documentation, requiring a true craftsperson’s touch and deep understanding of how to adjust, modify, and shape components when things don’t fit quite right – without compromising the vehicle's integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Full vehicle build using traditional coachbuilding techniques
Interpret complex build documentation unique to heritage models
Use hand tools, air tools, and grinders confidently and safely
Adjust and modify parts using initiative and expert judgment
Ensure high-quality, safety-critical standards are met throughout
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on low-volume builds
Contribute to continuous quality checks and improvements during assembly
Who we’re looking for:
2+ years’ experience in classic, vintage, or heritage vehicle builds
Strong background in traditional coachbuilding and restoration work
Mechanical assembly experience with a focus on fit and finish
Comfortable working from technical documentation and diagrams
Able to identify and shape parts with care and precision
Experience in automotive, motorsport, or specialist coachbuilding
Welding experience is advantageous but not essential
Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and takes pride in craftsmanship
