2D CAD DESIGNER - NORWICH 2 Exciting Opportunities with Growing Engineering Manufacturer
Are you passionate about design and engineering? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment? Our client, a dynamic manufacturing company based in Norwich, is experiencing unprecedented growth and seeking 2 further talented 2D CAD Designers to join their expanding team.
About the Role: Working as part of a close-knit design team, you'll be creating custom product solutions using AutoCAD 2D software. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with customers to understand their requirements and develop innovative design solutions for manufacture in their on-site facility. You'll also support sales activities and contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design custom products using 2D AutoCAD software
Work directly with customers to understand requirements and develop solutions
Create technical drawings and specifications for production
Support quotation processes and new product development
Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards
Occasional customer site visits within the UK
What We're Looking For: We welcome applications from candidates at all levels - whether you're an experienced CAD professional, recent graduate, apprentice, or college leaver with a passion for design and engineering. Essential/ideal requirements include:
Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D (training provided for the right candidate)
Strong communication skills and customer-facing confidence
Methodical approach with good problem-solving abilities
Clean driving licence
Flexibility with working hours during busy periods
