Piping Designer
Location: Darlington
Sector: EPC / Petrochemical / LNG
Software Requirement: AutoCAD Plant 3D (Essential)
Contract: Until May 2026
  
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Piping Designer with strong AutoCAD Plant 3D capability to support the delivery of major EPC projects in the petrochemical and LNG sectors.
  
This position requires an individual capable of independently managing 3D plant modelling and delivering high-quality, checked design documentation in line with project programmes.
  
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage detailed 3D plant models using AutoCAD Plant 3D
Produce piping isometrics, stress isometrics and general arrangement drawings
Generate material take-offs and schedules
Interpret and apply P&IDs accurately
Coordinate with Pipe Stress Analysis and Mechanical Engineering teams
Lead 3D model reviews where required
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and corporate procedures Essential Requirements:

Demonstrable, project-based experience using AutoCAD Plant 3D
Extensive background in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG or process plant environments
Strong understanding of piping material specifications
Good appreciation of pipe stress analysis requirements
Experience delivering within an EPC contractor environment
ONC/HNC/HND in Mechanical or Piping discipline (or equivalent experience) This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically strong engineering team delivering complex industrial projects within a structured EPC environment.
