Multi Skilled Engineer

Hours: 40 per week - rotating shifts - 5:45 am to 2 pm / 1:55 pm to 10:10 pm

Employee Assistance Programme all year round. SRG are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a large FMCG manufacturer at their northwest site based in Preston. Being a leading UK company within their field, you can expect to find a busy fast paced factory floor with plans to expand due to the successful nature of their award winning innovation programme.

The role will require you to support the maintenance team and provide support across the whole site. To ensure maximum production you will need to maintain all machinery, equipment, and property, whilst working in time with planned schedules.

Main Responsibilities:

Keep down time to a minimum by liaising with the engineering manager daily
Create and adhere to all PPM schedules that are created
Involvement with projects and continuous improvements
Accurately complete all documentation in a timely fashion
Accurately create and update relevant SOP's as necessaryYou will be:

A time served engineer/ recognised engineering trade apprenticeship and/or HNC in electrical engineering
At least 5 years' experience within the FMCG sector
Knowledge and understanding of site electrical distribution
Experience and a good understanding of PLCs, fault finding, 3 phase, DC motors, relays, sensors, and drives
Previous experience of working in a 'clean' manufacturing / factory environment preferably within the food / pharmaceutical industry
Experience of working on a wide range of manufacturing and packaging machinery
Computer Literate, with good general understanding of the Microsoft suite including Excel and Outlook
