An innovative independent school just outside Gloucester is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher for a full-time, permanent role beginning September 2025. The successful candidate will teach Product Design and Engineering across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A-Level, and play a key part in shaping the future of the school’s STEAM provision.
The school’s DT facilities are modern and well-equipped, including laser cutters, 3D printers, and a CNC mill. You’ll work closely with colleagues in computing, science, and art to support an integrated approach to creative technical education.
Your Responsibilities:

Teaching DT from KS3 to A-Level, including NEA coursework supervision
*
Promoting safe, hands-on learning using modern fabrication tools and software
*
Supporting student participation in national design competitions
*
Leading or contributing to extracurricular STEM clubs, projects, and trips
Candidate Profile:
*
Degree in Product Design, Engineering or a related subject
*
PGCE + QTS; A-Level experience beneficial
*
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
*
A passion for innovation, sustainability, and practical creativity
