Role: Workshop Supervisor
Salary: Up to 55k + quarterly bonus
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Shifts: 12 hour shifts (Days and Nights rotating) which includes 1 weekend in 3

Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor with experience of working within a heavy manufacturing background looking for a new role within a leading manufacturing business in Burton on Trent? As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be supervising a team of 10 which includes a team leader and operators. This role is not desk based, being present on the shop floor is a large part of this role. Working 12 hour shifts (Days and Nights rotating) which includes 1 weekend in 3, offering a salary of £50-55K + quarterly bonus.

The Role:

Responsible for the efficient operation of the lines minimising downtimes
Health and Safety is a huge part of this role - minimising risks is key
Conduct quality checks in key areas on a regular basis, taking responsibility for the quality competence across the shift
Development of team members and operational processes including safety, quality, environmental, customer service and cost
Day to day management of your operatives which will include performance management, absence management, and motivation of the team at all times

Suitable Candidate:

Experienced Supervisor from a heavy manufacturing background
Strong understanding of H&S working practices
Be able to understand and work to set quality standards
Able to drive change and set boundaries and hold people accountable
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential
