General Teaching Assistant

Premier Education are working on behalf of a lovely Sale school to support them in finding a Level 2 TA for a long term role (1 year). This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a primary school where staff are dedicated to provide the best experiences for the children in their care.
The TA role involves working accross various year groups and the role expectations are as follows:
* Supporting pupils during lessons in English, Maths and across all areas of the curriculum
* Leading 1:1 and group intervention programmes
* Feeding back to the class teacher, maintaining records of progress and behaviour
* Working with children to support any social, emotional, behavioural or medical needs
* Fulfilling support outlined in EHCPs or Learning Plans
* Liaising with parents and external professionals
The ideal candidate will have;
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good organisational skills
Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
Skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils
Knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs
Subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to the role, and ability to apply this effectively in supporting teachers and pupils
Excellent verbal communication skills Active listening skills
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
Understanding of roles and responsibilities within the classroom and whole school context
