An outstanding primary school in Southwark is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons in Year 6, ensuring all students are prepared for their transition to secondary school.

Use a variety of assessment strategies to track pupil progress and ensure all students reach their full potential. Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding their learning journey.

Foster a positive and productive classroom environment that supports student well-being, engagement, and academic success.

Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and ensure consistency in curriculum delivery across the year group.

Establish strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and engaging them in the learning process.

Contribute to the broader life of the school, including extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

A strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and the skills to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that support student growth.

Proven ability to assess student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and ensure all students achieve their potential.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

A passion for professional development and a commitment to supporting students in reaching their academic and personal goals.
