We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join an established firm of Chartered Accountants providing a range of accountancy and tax services for both businesses and individuals.

The working hours are 9am - 5pm, Mon-Fri (40hrs per week).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a team of experienced accountants, while working towards a professional accounting qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide support to our team of experienced accountants

* Assist with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and VAT returns

* Learn and assist with bookkeeping tasks

* Learn and assist with payroll tasks

* Learn and assist with tax planning and compliance

* Completing on-the-job training and off-the-job training to achieve a professional accounting qualification (AAT) – Day release will be granted to the candidates selected college

Qualifications and Experience:

* A minimum of 7 GCSEs at grade B or above, including Maths and English

* Strong interest in accounting and finance

* Good organizational and time management skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
