We're working with a respected fire and security specialist who is expanding their engineering team and seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer. The Role

As a Fire & Security Service Engineer, you'll carry out the servicing, maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis of fire and security systems across a varied client portfolio. You'll work with leading manufacturers such as Texecom, Paxton, Hikvision, Honeywell, and more-ensuring compliance with BS 5839, PD 6662, and other industry standards.

You'll also support commissioning works, identify upgrade opportunities, and ensure customers' systems remain fully operational and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and inspect fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.

Diagnose faults quickly, offering effective and professional solutions.

Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits and attend reactive service calls.

Ensure all works comply with BS 5839, PD 6662, EN 50131, and NSI/SSAIB guidelines.

Produce clear service reports, highlighting remedial work when required.

Advise clients on system use, upgrades, and best practices.

Adhere to health & safety policies and safe working practices at all times.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Fire & Security Service Engineer.

Strong technical knowledge across systems such as Texecom, Paxton, Honeywell, Hikvision (or similar).

Familiarity with BS 5839, BS 7671, and EN 50131.

FIA Fire Alarm Units or equivalent certifications (desirable).

ECS/CSCS card (beneficial - training can be provided).

A proactive approach with excellent fault-finding skills.

Full UK driving licence (essential).
