We are seeking an experienced Test & Commissioning Manager with a strong background delivering London Underground projects. This is a hands-on role requiring proven leadership of Test & Commissioning teams, strong planning capability, and the ability to work closely with project and engineering management to safely deliver complex rail systems into service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage Test & Commissioning activities across London Underground projects

*

Plan, sequence, and integrate T&C activities into the wider project programme

*

Line manage and coordinate a team of Test & Commissioning Engineers

*

Maintain hands-on involvement in testing, fault finding, and commissioning activities

*

Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, and LU stakeholders

*

Ensure compliance with LU standards, assurance, safety, and handover requirements

*

Support project delivery, readiness, and possession planning

*

Produce and manage test plans, procedures, schedules, and reports

Essential Experience

*

Proven Test & Commissioning experience on London Underground projects

*

Strong planning and programme integration capability

*

Experience managing and leading T&C engineering teams

*

Hands-on technical background (not purely desk-based)

*

Experience working within complex, safety-critical rail environments

*

Ability to interface confidently with LU, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Desirable

*

Some project management or delivery experience

*

Background in systems such as signalling, power, stations, telecoms, or integrated rail systems

*

Familiarity with LU assurance processes and safety management systems
