Your Responsibilities as Head of DT Will Include:

Leading and developing the curriculum across all DT disciplines

Managing a team of passionate and specialist teachers

*

Overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental strategy

Promoting cross-curricular links with STEM and the Arts

*

Driving innovation in design thinking, sustainability, and real-world problem solving

*

Supporting staff development and mentoring early-career teachers

What We’re Looking For:

A qualified DT teacher with strong subject expertise and a vision for curriculum leadership

Proven experience in raising student outcomes and leading successful projects

*

Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and technical processes

*

A creative mindset with the ability to engage and challenge all learners

*

A genuine commitment to inclusive, accessible, and exciting DT education

*

An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
