Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 22.08 per hour

Responsibilities

Play a key part in delivering the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 by developing Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategies for all Housing Services managed high rise buildings.

Work closely with colleagues from the Housing Management and Asset Management services to collect relevant tenant information, develop strategies, consult with residents, and implement the strategies.

Identify the needs of tenants to enable their involvement in building safety.

Develop and promote engagement opportunities to support the development of a Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy.

Consult with residents on engagement opportunities and building safety decisions.

Assist colleagues in communicating with residents, including addressing language barriers and digital exclusion.

Person Specification

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with residents and stakeholders.

Good administrative skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective systems for managing information.

An interest in building and fire safety and the impact of new regulations on residents, along with residents’ involvement in service delivery.

Proficient IT skills.

A passion for supporting residents and an enjoyment in helping customers.

2 References required, with a preference for a 3-year employment history.

Full clean driving licence required, as the role involves driving a vehicle in accordance with council regulations.
