Uniform Education is recruiting a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a specialist school in Uxbridge. The school provides tailored education for pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, SLD, and physical disabilities.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

* Assess pupils’ functional abilities and develop tailored therapy programmes to promote independence and participation

* Support pupils in accessing learning through sensory, motor, and life-skills interventions

* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and families to implement strategies from pupils’ EHCPs

* Recommend and support the safe use of specialist equipment and adaptations

* Deliver both 1:1 and group therapy sessions in line with individual needs

* Monitor, evaluate, and record progress, adjusting interventions where necessary

* Contribute to a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach alongside physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and teaching staff

What We’re Looking For:

* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist (essential)

* Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (PMLD, SLD, ASD, or physical disabilities)

* Knowledge of sensory integration, postural management, or assistive technology (desirable)

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and external professionals

* Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils’ development

* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
