Hourly Rate: £15.48 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, 05:45am to 2:15pm

About the Role
As an Operational Chargehand at FCC Environment, you will provide vital organisational and operational support to the Transport Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring daily sweeper duties, road cleansing activities, and safe working practices are carried out effectively across the Borough.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What Will You Be Doing?
- Follow all safety procedures and use the correct equipment
- Report hazards, accidents and unsafe conditions
- Maintain PPE and support inductions for new starters
- Promote safe practices and energy-efficient behaviour
- Carry out borough-wide street cleansing and daily vehicle checks
- Maintain vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects promptly
- Support crew deployment, planning and audits
- Uphold professional standards with the public, colleagues and client staff
- Assist or cover the Transport Manager when required and complete all tasks to schedule
- Perform other reasonable duties to meet contractual commitments
