Job Description

? The Job Mission
As an Emergency Response Advisor, you’ll support the Emergency Response Lead at Hinkley Point C.
You’ll assure emergency plans and equipment meet site-wide risk profiles.
You’ll build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

⚡️ Provide expert advice to the Emergency Response Lead and site managers
⚡️ Assure incident response, support and recovery arrangements across the site
⚡️ Inspect and maintain emergency and rescue equipment for readiness
⚡️ Act as the Technical Rescue Advisor on behalf of the Principal Contractor
⚡️ Advise on Tier 1 firefighting, rescue, and HAZMAT response planning
⚡️ Conduct audits, inspections and training across emergency operations
⚡️ Liaise with external emergency services and regulators as required
⚡️ Develop, review and test response plans tailored to the evolving site risks

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

? Extensive fire, rescue, and emergency response experience in industrial environments
? Strong understanding of emergency response for major construction sites
? Skilled in drafting and validating emergency plans and recovery strategies
? Able to give confident tactical advice to stakeholders under pressure
? Strong organisational and audit capabilities with field-based assurance experience
? Knowledge of technical rescue equipment and deployment strategies
? Effective communicator, written and verbal, across all stakeholder levels
? Working knowledge of HAZMAT and environmental emergency scenarios

Desired Skills and Qualifications

✔️ Previous experience on a nuclear or high-risk construction site
✔️ Understanding of ONR regulatory frameworks in emergency response
✔️ Familiarity with Hinkley Point C emergency arrangements
✔️ Experience working in Principal Contractor environments
✔️ Competency assurance and training delivery experience
