Management Accountant - 9 Month FTC

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a leading university on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and driving strong financial planning and reporting.

We welcome applications from candidates who are qualified by experience, part-qualified, or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

Key responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary

Budgeting and forecasting, supporting financial planning cycles

Producing accurate financial reports for senior stakeholders

Variance analysis and performance tracking

Partnering with clients and budget holders to support decision-making

Improving financial processes and reporting where possible

About you

Strong Excel skills (essential)

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting

Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills

Proactive, organised, and able to work to tight deadlines

Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
