Humly is working in partnership with a secondary school in Barnoldswick to recruit a full-time Design & Technology (DT) Teacher for an ASAP start, continuing until July 2026.

This role will involve teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is seeking a confident and adaptable practitioner who can deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons while maintaining high standards of behaviour, safety and pupil engagement.

This is a long-term role and will be paid to scale under AWR from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4

*

Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons

*

Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed in workshops and classrooms

*

Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

*

Managing classroom behaviour effectively

*

Working collaboratively with the wider department and staff team

What You’ll Bring

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level

Strong understanding of health and safety within practical subjects

Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

Pay Structure

*

From £168.80 per day
(AWR applied from day one – M1–M6 depending on experience)
