TeacherActive is working closely with an engaging and focused primary school in Whitechapel to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher. As the Year 3 Teacher, you will guide pupils through their transition into Key Stage 2, helping them deepen their understanding across core subjects, develop independence and build strong foundations for future learning. You will be joining a friendly KS2 team who work closely together, share ideas and support each other to deliver high-quality teaching and a vibrant curriculum.

What you need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Recent experience teaching in KS2 (Year 3 preferred)

Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, including literacy and numeracy

A valid DBS, or willingness to obtain one

Confidence in planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons

Desired skills and qualities:

Passion for supporting young learners

Excellent phonics and literacy knowledge

Strong behaviour management and a nurturing classroom presence

Creativity to make lessons inspiring and accessible

Clear communication skills, teamwork and a child-centred mindset
