Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Chorley and Winsford, North West England
Salary: £15.00 per hour + £60 per sleep-in
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Rota Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off

About the Role:
We are working with a leading provider of residential care for children and young people affected by emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint two passionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Workers—one based in Chorley and the other in Winsford.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a warm, therapeutic setting supporting young people aged 8–17 with challenging backgrounds, trauma, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care and emotional support to young people

*

Lead shifts and support day-to-day operations of the home

*

Supervise and mentor junior care staff

*

Act as a positive role model, upholding professional boundaries and expectations

*

Assist in care planning, team meetings, and child reviews

*

Support recruitment, induction, and training of staff

*

Deputise in the absence of the Registered or Deputy Manager

Essential Requirements:

*

Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce or Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

*

Previous experience working in a children’s residential home

*

Experience leading shifts or supporting a care team

*

A strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and trauma-informed practice

*

Ability to work a flexible rota including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends

Desirable:

*

Level 4/5 qualifications or a willingness to work toward them

*

Full UK driving licence
