Job role: Design Engineer

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 dependent on experience

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Hours: 8.00-16.45 Mon to Thu, 12.00 finish on Friday

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, market leading design and manufacturer of air conditioning, heating and engine cooling systems for the automotive industry. Our client, based in Wellingborough, has been established for over 100 years and they are now looking to add an experienced Design Engineer to their growing design team. The Role:

· You will be responsible for the design of engine cooling, air filtration, AC and Heating systems.

· Design and detail a variety of systems and components, ensuring that manufacturing and maintenance teams can understand them.

· You will use the Solid Edge 3D CAD package to design these components and machines.

· You will read and create technical drawings and specifications, making sure they complete efficiently and effectively.

The Requirements:

· Previous experience as a design engineer using 3D Cad packages - preferably Solid Edge (essential)

· Proven ability to read and create technical drawings and specifications (essential)

· Knowledge of working with HVAC systems, air filtration and air movement systems (advantageous)

· Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and systems (advantageous)

· Relevant qualifications within design engineering (advantageous)
