Our client pride themselves on commitment to excellence and innovation and are award winners within their industry. They are a leading manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high quality products/services to their clients based in the UK and Ireland. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dedicated team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for providing day-to-day engineering support, and be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day engineering support to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and factory facilities.
Conduct PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Perform PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) testing on electrical equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimise performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise disruptions to operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies through continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements:

Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Familiarity with PUWER regulations and PAT testing procedures.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
