Role Overview
The Senior Sales & Operations Director will be responsible for the commercial and operational performance of the agency across both temp and perm recruitment services. This role demands a strong leader who can manage senior teams, scale sales functions, enhance operational processes, and consistently deliver results for clients and candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
* Lead and mentor senior/divisional recruitment managers across multiple teams and specialisms.
* Define and implement commercial and operational strategies aligned with long-term business goals.
* Provide board-level input and contribute to organisational planning and decision-making.
Sales & Business Development
* Drive revenue growth across both temporary and permanent staffing divisions.
* Secure, retain, and grow high-value client accounts through strategic partnerships.
* Promote a culture of new business development and cross-selling across service lines.
* Monitor performance metrics to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
Operational Excellence
* Oversee the full recruitment cycle, ensuring high fulfilment rates and regulatory compliance.
* Optimise operational systems and workflows to support scalability.
* Ensure consistent delivery standards and adherence to client SLAs.
Talent & Team Development
* Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
* Lead succession planning and build strong leadership pipelines.
* Support recruitment, development, and retention of top-tier internal talent.
Candidate Profile
* Proven leadership experience within the temporary and permanent recruitment industry, ideally in industrial, construction, or engineering sectors.
* Track record of managing senior teams and growing multi-site or multi-division operations.
* Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven approach to business growth.
* Deep knowledge of labour market dynamics, compliance, and staffing delivery.
* Excellent communicator with a hands-on, inspiring leadership style.

* Competitive base salary: £65,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience)
