Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and security-cleared Gateperson to control access to a high-security nuclear construction project. The Gateperson will be responsible for managing all vehicle and personnel entry and exit to site, ensuring compliance with both construction site safety and nuclear security protocols.
Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must hold a valid CSCS card, BPSS clearance, and Nuclear Security Clearance (SC or CTC), or be eligible to obtain these prior to starting.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the entry and exit of all vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in line with site procedures.

Conduct ID checks and verify access passes to ensure only authorised individuals enter restricted areas.
*
Maintain accurate gate logs, delivery records, and site access documentation.
*
Communicate effectively with site management, logistics, and security teams regarding vehicle movements.
*
Direct traffic safely and ensure delivery vehicles follow correct routes and unloading procedures.
*
Enforce site rules on PPE, safety compliance, and restricted access zones.
*
Maintain a clean and organised gate area at all times.
*
Report any suspicious activity, unauthorised access attempts, or safety concerns immediately.

Follow strict nuclear security, health, and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
*
Valid CSCS Card – essential.
*
BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance – essential.
*
Nuclear Security Clearance (SC or CTC) – required or ability to obtain prior to starting.
*
Previous experience as a Gateperson, Traffic Marshal, or Security Operative in a construction or industrial environment.
*
Strong understanding of traffic management, site safety, and security procedures.
*
Excellent communication and observation skills.
*
Punctual, professional, and capable of working under minimal supervision.

All candidates must successfully pass security vetting, induction, and medical checks prior to site access.

Full PPE and required training will be provided.
