We are currently working with a very small, but busy CNC Machining company, who supply largely to the oil and gas industry who are looking to add a Machine Shop Supervisor / Manager (HANDS ON) to their onsite team, to learn from and eventually take over from the MD who is looking to drop down his working days to 2-3 days per week, with a view to eventually retiring

You must be a competent CNC Turner, with programming, setting and operating experience

Hands on day to day using 8 machines, 5 lathes, 1 sliding head & 2 mills, most of their work is repeat custom with long-standing stable clients, but new work is always a bonus! Busy machine shop, with old school machines as well as some newer.

40 hours a week Mon-Fri or Mon-Thur, work it however you want from 6am-6pm to suit you.

Your job will not only be hands on, you will deal with Fanuc Offline Programming, Customer and Supplier facing, paperwork side, engineering drawings, new customer interaction etc. Training can be given in some aspects, but you must have some prior Supervisory/MGMT Machineshop experience (Ideally Turning) and you must be able to Programme, ideally with Fanuc.
