The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a hands-on and proactive Engineering Reliability Supervisor to lead a key engineering team focused on enhancing reliability across the factory. This role is all about improving equipment uptime, fostering a safe working environment, and driving performance through team development and strategic maintenance.
As a vital communicator within the business, you’ll coordinate with operations and other engineering shifts to ensure reliability targets are met. You’ll manage Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) activities, oversee contractor control, and be responsible for delivering continuous improvements across both machinery and facilities equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading and developing the engineering team to meet training, competency, and statutory requirements.
* Managing team performance, safety compliance, and the reliability of equipment.
* Acting as the key contact for communication between safety, OEMs, operations, planning, and other stakeholders.
* Driving Planned Maintenance and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) activities.
* Overseeing stock control for planned maintenance and ensuring workshop organisation (5S).
* Controlling and auditing the site’s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
* Delivering projects to enhance machine reliability and support new equipment installations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Engineering workshop, stores, and surrounding infrastructure including the boiler house, effluent plant, pump house, and reel store.
KPIs You’ll Be Accountable For:
* Zero lost time incidents (LTIs)
* Improved equipment uptime and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
* Strong team efficiency and CBM completion
* High preventive maintenance schedule compliance
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in engineering team management and reliability improvement.
* Working knowledge of CMMS systems.
* A strong grasp of TPM, root cause analysis, 5S, and project management.
* Level 3 engineering qualification (or higher). ILM/CMI Level 3 is desirable.
