Site Agent – Rail & Civil Engineering (TPU – Huddersfield)

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee key elements of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TPU) in Huddersfield. This is a critical role with a focus on rail and bridge works, involving the coordination and delivery of complex civils packages in a live rail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works
Oversee construction of bridges, structures, and associated rail infrastructure
Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
Drive programme delivery, quality assurance, and cost control
Ensure full compliance with project HSEQ policies and Network Rail standards
Chair site meetings and liaise with designers, planners, and client representatives
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Agent on major rail/civils projects
Strong background in bridge construction and structural works
Solid understanding of Network Rail procedures and standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), SMSTS, and PTS essential
