Programme Quality Engineer

Location: New Malden (with 25% travel)
Salary: £47,400 – £71,000
Clearance Required: UK Security Check (SC); UK Citizenship essential

The Role:
Support mission assurance across bids and projects, focusing on hardware and electrical aspects of complex system development. Oversee, inspect, and accept system deliverables, with authority to withhold release until standards are met. Work with Defence programs critical to the Royal Navy and wider UK/international defence systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MA/QA during acquisition and programme execution per company processes.

Lead MRB and inspections onsite.

*

Manage supplier corrective actions (SCAR) and monitor supplier KPIs.

*

Provide independent oversight for compliance with standards and contractual requirements.

*

Participate in bid reviews and programme gate reviews.

*

Collaborate with project teams and supply chain on supplier quality.

Requirements:

*

Quality Assurance experience (systems engineering environment preferred).

*

Familiarity with UK MOD assurance standards.

*

IPC 610/620 certification (desirable).

*

Experience with quality improvement tools (8D RCCA, 5-Whys, Lessons Learned).

*

Risk identification and reporting experience.
