Mechanical Design Engineer - Special Purpose Machinery
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme + Enhanced Pension + Health Scheme + Up to 35 days annual leave
Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:45pm and Friday 8:00am - 12:30pm

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in special purpose machinery or equipment? Are you interested in securing a new role where you will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art and bespoke machinery, in a progressive manufacturing company near Sheffield? Due to continued growth and the securing of new contracts, my client is looking to expand their highly skilled design team. On offer is a varied and interesting role, where you will quickly become a key contributor within a reputable company that has an excellent retention rate for staff and looks to promote from within.

You will take responsibility for the design of bespoke, state of the art machinery, that is utilised in some of the most impressive laboratories and manufacturing facilities worldwide. Full product training will be offered as part of your continuous professional development.

The Role:
- A mixture of design for manufacture and R&D for a specialist engineering manufacturer
- Offering lots of training, development and progression
- Half day Friday, company bonus scheme and excellent benefits package

The Person:
- Experience using any major CAD software - Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor, CATIA etc
- Experience working with special purpose equipment or machinery
- Lives a commutable distance from Hope, Near Sheffield
