POSITION                           PRODUCTION / DISPATCH OPERATIVE   
 
REPORTS TO:                     PRODUCTION MANAGER
 
PURPOSE:                          
To operate the production machinery to manufacture products and develop a good working knowledge of our materials and processes. To ensure goods are picked, packed and labelled correctly. Take part in monthly stock audit and regular team briefings.

MAIN DUTIES   To Insure that jobs are completed on time & as per the production plan.
 
To ensure that operations are carried out as specified on the job cards & that all materials are accurately identified, checked, weighed, loaded, decanted & labelled.
 
To ensure job cards are accurately filled in & all relevant sections of the job cards are completed.
 
To conduct testing on manufactured product to ensure it meets the required specification.
 
To report any findings that are outside of the guideline specification, to the quality manager.
 
To ensure that historic mixing problems are not repeated.
 
To ensure that materials & vessels are palatalised, stored in the correct locations & that all goods are in a fit condition for sale.
 
To ensure the correct rotation of stock is implemented – first in, first out. Nobuild-up of part tins.
 
To ensure that the machinery & production areas are kept clean & that all drums are taken out & tools put away at the end of the day                         
 
To ensure goods are packed and labelled correctly, and make all relevant critical checks.
 
To maintain good housekeeping at all times, and ensure work areas are kept clean and free from obstruction.
