V-Recruit are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to start work in Barnsley, S71 . This is a permanent position, available to start as soon as possible

Our client are a successful, well established organisation who operate within the construction industry. They required an experienced electrical fitter to work within a workshop environment to assemble, install and service new and existing equipment.

Your main duties will include, but may not be limited to;
- Installing new electrical control units

- Looming, wiring and machine fitting

- Electrical and electronic fault finding and repair

- Testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems

- Operating computerised diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve system faults

- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience

This is a full time role, working 40-45 hours per week

Immediate start available, following interview

We are looking for a candidate who;

- Has excellent skills in electrical and electronic engineering

- Is knowledgeable of control units

- Who has excellent knowledge and experience in fault finding and repair

- Has the ability to read and work with electrical schematics on single and three-phase lifting equipment

- Knowledge and experience with single-phase and three-phase motors

- Experience with low-voltage control systems

- PAT Testing knowledge and experience

- Preferably City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualified in electrical installation/maintenance

- Mechanical training and knowledge would be advantageous (manufacturer training will be provided)
