Accounts Payable Clerk – up to £32,000
Full Time | Office Based | Warrington

A growing business based in Warrington is looking to appoint a confident and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team.

This isn’t your standard Accounts Payable role - the business is looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership, and isn’t afraid to question things when they don’t add up. You’ll be a key part of a fast-paced finance function, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while helping to improve processes along the way.

The ideal person will have strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and the confidence to deal with queries head-on.

Key Responsibilities
• Processing and coding high volumes of supplier invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and processing supplier payments
• Chasing approvals or missing information from internal departments
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries and maintain relationships
• Supporting with month-end tasks and reporting as required

Ideal Candidate Profile
• Previous experience in an account payable or purchase ledger role
• Confident communicator who builds strong working relationships
• High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
• Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
• A questioning mindset and willingness to improve existing processes

Package
• Up to £35,000 depending on experience
• Office based in Warrington
• Full time, permanent
