Duties to include, but not limited to:
* Act as the deputy in the absence of the Head Chef and managing the kitchen
* Assisting the Head Chef in organising, supervising, and controlling the kitchen operation, ensuring team fulfil their duties to the hotel's standards
* Upholding the hotel's standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen areas
* Managing and monitoring all areas of the kitchen and the team
* Comply with legal requirements such as Food and Hygiene Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, and Fire Regulations
* Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and portioning of food dishes
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and General Manager to conduct weekly kitchen audits
The person:
* Previous experience in a similar position
* NVQ 1 Food Hygiene certificate/training
* Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns
* Basic computer skills
* Creative and is aware what trends are in the catering business
* Excellent International culinary knowledge across various cuisine types
* Management experience
* Good team player, leader and motivator
* Calm under pressure
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
