Project Engineer - Climbing

In this role you will be responsible for the design and delivery of complex high-rise engineering projects, ensuring the safe, efficient and innovative use of climbing platform and protection systems
Working with colleagues in the delivery of complex high-rise projects, managing the preparation of technical documentation for delivery, fabrication and assembly, you will prepare and present proposals to customers and support the preparation of offers with technical advice and guidance on both standard and non-standard system applications. You will create preliminary calculations to support projects during the offer phase and prepare cost calculations, prepare detailed structural calculations, "Proof of Stability" in accordance with UK codes and legislation and work with 3rd party Engineers to evaluate the system design and static proofs
As an Engineer your eexperience will include the preparation and understanding of static proofs, creating proposal preparations and being able to independently produce designs (GAs, Assembly and Fabrication drawings). Other duties of your role will include the design of custom components and producing assembly and fabrication drawings for production and the review and approval of design solutions and calculations prepared by others. You will carry out on-site project meetings with customers and Sales Engineers, identify technical issues proactively to eliminate or mitigate design risks and assist with the development of technical staff You will take technical management of projects and employees involved in these projects (including both design and auditable calculation reports) and carry out cross-project cooperation with other technical departments and subsidiaries
Possessing a relevant degree in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering), you will possess a practical understanding of construction, steel construction, building operations, or similar education such as master craftsperson (Civil or Mechanical Engineering), or technician with sufficient experience and skills. You will have a minimum of 3 years practical/professional experience in designing climbing systems for high-rise buildings and / or other similar applications and as well as a working knowledge of and experience with CAD software and RSTAB or similar software, you will be LEAN oriented and able to continuously improve efficiency
A full UK drivers license is required for this role
