1:1 Teaching Assistant – KS4 Support

Are you a patient, caring, and committed individual with a passion for helping young people succeed? A supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Key Stage 4 student with additional learning needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a student’s educational journey.

? The Role:

Work closely with a KS4 student, supporting their academic, emotional, and social development.

Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.

*

Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement in class.

*

Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.

*

Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

? Requirements:

*

Experience supporting young people in a school or similar setting is desirable.

*

A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to support individual needs.

*

Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths).

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
