About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geo-Environmental Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join our client in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have 2 + years experience working on brownfield development projects for a consultancy or site investigation contractor. The role will offer a good mix of SI, report writing and ground engineering. This role is the ideal next step if you are looking for something more than just site investigation.

* Desk studies & walkovers

* Ground investigations

* Land quality assessments

* Interpretive reports

* Risk assessments

* Remediation strategy design and validation

* Ground improvement and soil stabilisation

* Excavations, earthwork creation and slope engineering

* Foundation and retaining wall engineering

* Ground monitoring and instrumentation

Project Scope

The role will involve working on various technical phases of projects both on-site and in the office. You will gain experience across earthworks (specifications and implementation), foundation design, and reporting.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in geology/engineering geology/geotechnics/geoenvironmental engineering or related field

* Experience with phase 1 & 2 site investigations in the UK, including logging soil & rock samples and site monitori2 + years experience working on brownfield development projects for a consultancy or site investigation contractor ng,

* Ability to deliver reports on a factual and/or interpretive basis

* UK driving license
