Substitute Teacher – DE7 Schools
Link3 Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Substitute Teachers to work across a range of local schools in the DE7 area. This role offers day-to-day cover with highly flexible working, alongside opportunities for short-term and longer-term placements to suit different availability, experience levels and career goals.
We are looking for qualified teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils’ learning, can adapt confidently to different classroom environments and feel comfortable delivering lessons across a variety of subjects.
Job Details
This Substitute Teacher position is highly flexible, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Roles begin on a temporary basis, with the potential to progress into longer-term or permanent positions for candidates who are a strong match.
Successful applicants will be committed, engaging and inspirational educators who can deliver high-quality lessons while maintaining strong standards of behaviour and attainment. A positive attitude, good communication skills and a sense of humour are key to succeeding in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering pre-planned lessons provided by the class teacher
* Monitoring and managing pupil behaviour effectively
* Ensuring pupils remain on task and complete assigned work
* Creating a calm, purposeful and productive classroom environment

Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have a strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
* Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive, proactive approach
* Have a genuine passion for working with young people
* Follow safeguarding procedures to maintain a safe learning environment
* Use effective and engaging classroom management strategies
* Be confident covering a range of subjects and adapting to different school settings
Requirements
* A valid Right to Work in the UK, verified during safeguarding and compliance checks
* An Enhanced DBS Check (Child Workforce) prior to starting, unless registered on the Update Service (the cost of a new DBS is covered by the applicant)
