Principal Town Planner
Location: UK-Wide / Hybrid | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits
A leading consultancy in the Utilities and Infrastructure sector is looking for a Principal Planner to join its expanding Environmental and Planning Team. Working on nationally significant projects, you'll help deliver the consents needed to support the UK and Ireland's journey to Net Zero.
In this role, you'll manage and contribute to a wide range of planning projects-from new infrastructure developments to property portfolio appraisals across several sectors. You'll lead or support a small team, advise clients, and work closely with stakeholders and regulators to secure planning consents on complex, high-value schemes.

What You'll Do:
Lead planning input across multi-disciplinary projects from feasibility to consent.
Produce high-quality planning reports, applications, and technical assessments.
Build strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and project teams.
Support junior staff, contribute to business development, and help shape best practice.
Maintain compliance with planning legislation and environmental policy.
What You'll Bring:
Chartered MRTPI (ideal) with strong planning consultancy or infrastructure experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage projects and proposals.
Understanding of GIS and environmental disciplines.
A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach.
Full UK driving licence (ideal)
