Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
Location: Near Uxbridge (commutable from Denham, Slough, Watford & surrounding areas)
Hours: 37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 12:00

We’re hiring for a highly capable Mechanical Inspector to join a market-leading aerospace engineering business near Uxbridge. You'll be inspecting components used in life-critical applications and working to exacting aerospace and defence standards.

Mechanical Inspector Duties

Carrying out mechanical and visual inspection of precision components

Using hand tools like micrometres, verniers, and height gauges

Interpreting complex engineering drawings (including GD&T)

Documenting non-conformances and logging results via SAP

Ensuring tools and gauges are correctly calibrated and maintained

Supporting 5S and lean manufacturing activities

What We’re Looking For

Solid mechanical inspection experience within aerospace, defence, or high-spec engineering

Confident using manual inspection tools to tight tolerances

Familiar with GD&T and technical drawing interpretation

Ideally experienced with SAP and quality documentation (AS9102/FAIRs)

A self-sufficient, detail-focused team player
